Booking Conditions

These Booking Conditions explain how safari quotations, reservations, deposits, balance payments, amendments, cancellations, permits, and travel responsibilities are handled when you plan or confirm a trip with Ripple Safaris.

01Quote Validity

All safari quotations are prepared in good faith based on the information, pricing, exchange rates, permit rules, lodge rates, and transport costs available at the time of issue. Quotes are subject to change until the booking is confirmed in writing.

Accommodation, permits, flights, and vehicle availability can change without notice, especially during peak travel periods.

02Booking Confirmation

A booking is only considered confirmed after we receive the required deposit or full payment, confirm availability with relevant suppliers, and issue written confirmation. Before that point, no safari service, room, permit, or transport seat should be treated as guaranteed.

03Deposits and Payments

Deposits may be required to secure accommodations, gorilla permits, chimpanzee permits, domestic flights, private transport, or custom itinerary arrangements. Final balances must usually be paid by the deadline specified in your booking communication.

Failure to make payment on time may result in the release of reserved services, pricing changes, or cancellation of the requested arrangements.

04Pricing and Revisions

Prices may be affected by changes in taxes, park fees, supplier costs, fuel surcharges, permit costs, exchange rates, or government-imposed charges. If a significant change occurs before final confirmation, we will communicate the revised pricing for your approval.

05Permits and Restricted Services

Gorilla permits, chimpanzee permits, and certain controlled travel services may be subject to strict authority rules and limited availability. Once secured, such services may be fully or partially non-refundable regardless of later changes, client cancellation, or travel disruption.

06Amendments and Client Changes

If you request changes after confirmation, including name corrections, date changes, route changes, room changes, or itinerary adjustments, amendment fees or supplier penalties may apply. Some changes may require a full rebooking depending on supplier or permit conditions.

07Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation requests must be made in writing. Refund eligibility depends on the timing of cancellation, the nature of the booked services, and the cancellation rules imposed by lodges, permit offices, airlines, transport providers, and other suppliers.

Where suppliers impose non-refundable conditions, the corresponding amount may be deducted from any refund or may not be recoverable at all.

08Traveler Responsibility

Travelers are responsible for providing accurate passport names, travel dates, nationality details, rooming information, and any other required booking data. Travelers are also responsible for passports, visas, vaccinations, health documentation, and compliance with local travel regulations.

09Force Majeure and Unavoidable Events

We are not liable for failure, delay, route changes, or service interruptions caused by events outside our reasonable control, including weather, airline disruption, road closures, strikes, civil unrest, health emergencies, government restrictions, park authority decisions, or natural events.

10Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for all travelers. Insurance should ideally cover trip cancellation, medical expenses, emergency evacuation, lost baggage, travel delays, and other relevant safari-related risks.

11Supplier and Third-Party Conditions

Some safari elements depend on independent third-party providers such as lodges, camps, airlines, transport companies, park authorities, and permit offices. Those providers may apply their own operational rules, booking deadlines, change restrictions, and refund limitations.
