Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up in Kigali. After a short briefing, you will set off on a scenic drive դեպի the Uganda border. The journey offers stunning views of Rwanda’s rolling hills and lush countryside, often referred to as the “Land of a Thousand Hills.”
After crossing into Uganda, you will continue through beautiful highland landscapes towards Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The drive is both scenic and immersive, giving you a glimpse into local life along the way. You will arrive at your lodge near the forest in the afternoon.
After check-in, you can relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the rainforest. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge, as you prepare for the next day’s unforgettable gorilla trekking experience.
After an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing by experienced guides and rangers. You will then begin your trek into the dense forest in search of a habituated gorilla family.
The trekking experience can take a few hours, depending on the location of the gorillas. As you move through the forest, you will encounter rich biodiversity, including birds, primates, and unique plant species. Once you find the gorillas, you will spend one magical hour observing them in their natural habitat. Watching their behavior, interactions, and gentle nature is truly life-changing.
After the trek, you will return to the lodge for lunch and then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. The drive takes you through scenic terraced hills and winding roads. Upon arrival, you will check in and relax by the lakeside.

Later, you will begin your return journey to Kigali. The drive offers more scenic views and a chance to reflect on your incredible experiences. You will arrive in Kigali in the afternoon, marking the end of your safari.
