Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe and Transfer to Bwindi

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Today is the highlight of your safari—the unforgettable experience of gorilla trekking in Bwindi. After an early breakfast, you’ll head to the park headquarters for a briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority. Here, you’ll learn about the history of the gorillas, the rules of trekking, and what to expect during your encounter. Accompanied by experienced trackers and guides, you’ll venture into the dense, misty forest in search of one of the habituated mountain gorilla families. The trek can last anywhere from a few hours to most of the day, depending on the gorillas’ movements, but every step through the lush undergrowth brings you closer to these majestic creatures. When you finally meet the gorillas, the awe-inspiring moment will leave you speechless. You’ll spend up to an hour observing them as they go about their daily activities—feeding, playing, and caring for their young. The experience is both humbling and exhilarating, offering a rare glimpse into the lives of one of the world’s most endangered species. After the trek, you’ll return to your lodge to relax and reflect on the day’s incredible adventure, with an optional community visit in the afternoon to learn about the local Batwa culture.
Day 3: Return to Entebbe and Departure
After a leisurely breakfast, it’s time to bid farewell to Bwindi and begin your journey back to Entebbe. The drive offers a final chance to soak in the beauty of Uganda’s landscapes, perhaps spotting some wildlife along the way. You’ll arrive in Entebbe in the late afternoon, with time to explore the town if your schedule allows. Visit the Entebbe Botanical Gardens for a peaceful stroll, or take a boat ride on Lake Victoria to unwind before your departure. Depending on your flight time, you may have the option to enjoy a final meal in a local restaurant, savoring the flavors of Uganda before heading to the airport.
